How to Join our Association

Isn't it time to invest in the industry that serves you?

On behalf of President, Dena Cordova and the entire Board of Directors, we invite you to consider membership in the Mountain States Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (MSLBMDA).  As you consider membership, please take a look at what we’ve been doing:

·         National and local lobbying every year on issues that directly impact YOUR livelihood: Our priority on a national level this year was working toward the repeal of the 1099 Mandate and the Lead Paint Rule, Housing Policies, Legal Reform and Consumer Protection - including the Innocent Sellers Fairness Act, Tax Policies, Product Supply and more.  On local levels, the MSLBMDA is involved in Green Building Issues, Timber supply, Forest Health and Access, Bankruptcy Reform, Estate Tax, Regulatory Reform, Construction Defect, Lien Laws and other critical issues that impact the industry.

·         Providing education and training opportunities for you and your staff to help you build and retain an effective team of employees:  Training for employees and management alike, on every aspect of the business, is available through the MSLBMDA.  We also host a Products Expo and Buying Show each year in Denver.  It is the premiere industry event in the Mountain States region.

·         Opportunities for social interaction and networking with your industry peers:  In addition to the continual educational and business programs there are golf tournaments and other social activities that provide the perfect opportunity for our members to interact with and learn from one another.  You can check the calendar page to see what is coming up.

·         Community involvement and outreach:  Through our various State Councils the MSLBMDA is actively involved in working with homeless teens through the Urban Peak shelter, sponsoring a special needs child to the Rocky Mountain Village summer program, working with local residents in areas devastated by wildfire to help them replace the trees they lost as the result of fire, education teachers and students on the forest and our industry's important role through annual Teacher Tours into the forests of the Pacific NW, and more.
